I searched a long time for a beautiful yet functional set of serving spoons. I despise buying things again, so I would rather spend more for longevity. These sounded and looked to be the perfect set. In reality they fail miserably. This set is beautiful, smooth and nicely weighted in the hand until washed a few times. I hand washed and dried immediately. The wood has become rough to the touch and yellowed pretty dramatically. I have used one twice and another once. The unused spoon is still nice. Replacing them isn't a solution as the product itself is not well crafted to begin with. I am taking the set over Christmas to a family member woodworker to see if this set can be salvage by replacing the wood handles with a proper water resistant wood and or finish otherwise they are useless.
